Fresh Out Of The Box

Here is a full photo overview of the new OMW shoe. As mentioned before, these are absolutely brand spanking new but we’re very excited to give these a go once winter really arrives.

These boots have both an elastic draw cord on the inner liners as well as at the top of the ankle cuff.

Included in the box are a set of bolt on cleat plate covers, for those not wanting to run clipless.

Removable Liner

One of the coolest features of this shoe is that it is not only very well insulated, but the insulation is removable as well. This could add a huge advantage to those taking part in longer winter excursions. This removable liner gives you the ability to separate the Thinslulate bootie and let it air out during breaks.

Wrap-up

Being a winter riding connoisseur myself, I’m excited to give these a go come the cold spells. During the coldest of cold weather (my personal record for riding is -18 degrees fahrenheit) I generally wear heavy duty insulated hiking boots, but I’m pumped to give these a go. Riding all year round here in Iowa, I will be sure to give these shoes all they can handle and report back with a full review come January or so.

  1. Thanks for the good info. I have been using Bontrager XXX MTB shoes for the past two years now, size 44. Curious how the sizing of these OMW shoes compares to their other models. Is the sizing consistent across the brand? Would the same size allow for a slightly thicker wool sock or would I need to size up a bit? Thanks again.
